Developer Updates
1. Pop the champagne, Pocket Core MVP is live!
“Minimum Viable Pocket” launched successfully on April 15th.
Six Pocket Nodes are online today capable of support applications on Ethereum and AION. These nodes are run by Pocket, Nodesmith, Protofire, Quiknode, Figment Network and The MetaCartel. Quite the starting roster.
MVP is Pocket’s foundation for a completely trustless, decentralized blockchain relay network. We thank everyone who is engaging in the process, including you.
Pocket Core is open source and the code can be found on Github: Pocket-Core.
Expect a summer of data collection, iteration, and growth for Pocket!
2. Developer Portal v1.0 released. Start coding today!
One of Pocket’s core objectives is to simplify the experience of DApp development.
With that focus, we published the first version of our official Developer Portal in stride with MVP’s release.
Community members playing with MVP have already provided great feedback which has resulted in more updates. Expect this resource to grow dynamically with the community to include example DApps, walk-through videos and community contributions.
Starting using Pocket-Core now: docs.pokt.network.
3. Monster Chase is live on Pocket Core and AION network
Pocket Core’s pioneering demo dApp, Monster Chase is live today and runs through Pocket Core on the AION network.
Monster Chase already has 112 downloads and nearly as many Monsters dropped from people all around the world. We’ve seen Monsters dropped from Tokyo to Toronto, London, Seattle, Florida, and more.
iOS users are invited to play Monster Chase through this Testflight link. The team is actively working on getting Monster Chase approved for the Apple Appstore.

Economics & Governance updates
1. Pocket DAO
Insightful research on decentralized governance in the context of Pocket’s goal to provide and sustain blockchain node infrastructure has produced the Pocket DAO Charter draft.
Jack Laing, Head Governance Researcher, published Version 0.1.0 of the Pocket DAO Charter to our forum for feedback here: research.pokt.network.
We are currently working with the Aragon team to figure out how we can implement Pocket DAO pre-mainnet on the Aragon platform for a smooth and robust experience.
2. PXKT token functionality.
In order to further demonstrate the POKT live mainnet token is in fact a utility token, in light of the most recent SEC guidelines the team at Pocket has decided to make the PXKT token non-transferable outside of sending/receiving from the DAO.
This means that as a developer, node operator, or other valued ecosystem partner you can still receive tokens for contributing, which will be redeemable for POKT token upon mainnet release. This means that you will not be able to trade your tokens on any exchange in the meantime. We like this approach because at this early stage of the product, we want to attract individuals and organizations who truly understand the benefits of adopting this platform early.
